PFAS "Forever Chemicals" Found in Drinking Water of 45% of American Homes

New USGS testing reveals that PFAS "forever chemicals" contaminate the tap water of nearly half of American households, with levels in many areas far exceeding proposed EPA limits.

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) have been linked to cancer, thyroid disease, immune system effects, and reproductive problems. They're called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down in the environment.
